Yesterday we launched True Medicine a podcast brought to you by Truemed (we’re creative geniuses i know). This is a content test of sorts, and I’m excited to finally release it into the world. Check it out here.
For everyone asking “do we really need another podcast?” I hear you, and hope to explain why. So bare with me.
Managing the partnerships with the leading health companies at Truemed has been not only a ton of fun, but an unbelievable experience in better understanding the healthcare landscape, and how many layers within these orgs truly exist.
For my team at Truemed, we have two main goals:
Promote our merchant partners to ensure they receive as many eyeballs as possible. To not act as just a payment processor but as a customer acquisition tool.
Position ourselves and our partners as authorities in the space and be the source of education and credible information. Suffice to say there is a ton of noise to constantly cut through.
Our goals with this podcast won’t differ from the two I’ve just described. We want to provide a unique channel to promote our merchant partners, and hope to simplify the health space through a straight forward and easily digestible format (more on this next post).
Also, I believe that hearing from the CEO of a hyper-growth startup is interesting to a wide audience of people, even outside the health realm. “Building in public” allows people to feel more connected to your brand, mission, and vision — having ripple effects to other parts of the company.
Among many things, I’ll use this newsletter to recap episodes and provide commentary that may not have come through in the podcast themselves.
I’m excited to have a new kind of health conversation. Not one of complexities and over-scientific bi
ohacks but actionable insights and takeaways that can be feasibly implemented today.
Each week, we'll sit down with founders and innovators who are actually moving the needle in health – not just adding to the noise. And we’ll also pick Justin’s brain on the topic of the week.
Looking Ahead
The first episode explores who Justin is, how Truemed came to be, and the building blocks of health – the boring, unsexy fundamentals that actually drive results.
